Curb appeal is set to be a key focus for homeowners in 2026, with designers highlighting trends such as pops of color on doors and shutters, naturalistic gardens with native plants, and the incorporation of historical touches. Creating community spaces in yards to combat social isolation is also expected to gain popularity. "Curb appeal inherently increases the value of a home and should ultimately make you happy each time you approach your house," architectural designer James B. Laughlin says.
